Kweli Energy is proud to announce the successful installation and commissioning of a 6.5kWp / 8kVA / 20kWh-lithium off-grid solar power system for a school in Terekeka, Central Equatoria State, South Sudan. This project is part of our ongoing commitment to equipping educational institutions in remote communities with sustainable, intelligent, and reliable power solutions.
Technical Highlights
The off-grid solar system includes:
- 6.5kWp monocrystalline solar panel array
- 20kWh 48V lithium battery bank
- 8kVA/8kW hybrid solar inverter with inbuilt MPPT solar charge controller
- WiFi-enabled remote monitoring via mobile app
Engineered for maximum efficiency and autonomy, this system delivers uninterrupted power to the entire school—supporting lighting, computers, printers, IT equipment, and administrative operations.
Built-in Safety and Reliability
The system features multiple safeguards to protect against overload, voltage fluctuations, and electrical anomalies. The integrated MPPT charge controller ensures optimal energy harvesting from the solar array, while the hybrid inverter coordinates seamless energy delivery from both solar and battery sources.
Smart Monitoring
With WiFi-based mobile monitoring, both school staff and Kweli Energy’s technical team can track real-time system performance, enabling proactive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting.
Powering Education Through Renewable Energy
This installation goes beyond powering classrooms. It strengthens the school’s capacity to provide uninterrupted, technology-enhanced learning while eliminating reliance on fossil fuels. In doing so, it contributes to environmental sustainability and helps improve education outcomes in one of South Sudan’s underserved regions.
